We love picture books. Yes, my girls are older but picture books are always fun to read. Plus any reading is reading. It does not matter how kids read as long as they read.
This month we have a mix of books we found. We were doing the last of our summer reading and picking out what fun books we would like to read. We have a mix of books that we loved.
It is always amazing what you will find in a picture book to take you somewhere else!
As always there are links to Amazon for each of the books so you can get a better look at them. Plus any purchases go to help 3 Dinosaurs keep going.
Birdsong: A Story in Pictures is a great wordless book where you tell the story. Plus if you own the book you can writing the story in the book. We pulled out paper and wrote down our stories for the book. It was tons of fun.
Forever or a Day is a book about how we spend our time and that we only have the time we have. It has great pictures and wonderful look at people rushing or going slow. It is a great read.
Love is a look at the many different types of love. The people that love you. The things you love. I love the wonderful pictures that bring out the words on the page. It is well worth a read.
Gobble You Up! is a twist on the story of there was an only lady who swallowed a fly. It is a fun read with wonderful pictures and I love how the coyote tummy changes as he adds the different animals.
Wee Sister Strange is a cute book about a girls who is seeking something in the forest. She is looking for a bedtime story to help her fall asleep. I love the book and her adventures.
Be Kind is about why we shoudl be kind. You never know what kind of a day someone has had. It shows so many great examples of what being kind is.
Ordinary, Extraordinary Jane Austen: The Story of Six Novels, Three Notebooks, a Writing Box, and One Clever Girl is a fun way to introduce kids to how one writer lived and what she did with her life. I love pictures books that tell you about authors. She was ordinary but did amazing things with her writing.
