Christmas Water Bead Search

Water beads are a favorite at our house! After the fall water bead search my girls asked for something just as fun for Christmas! This was tons of fun to set up and loads of sensory fun for them to play in.

My girls love the Safari Ltd Designer TOOBS Christmas. I’m always looking for new ways to use them. I thought it would be good fun to pull the toob out and do a search and find. I think it turned out tons of fun! Plus who does not like playing in water beads.

What you need for this activity: clear water beads (I used 2 packages), Christmas buttons (plus I added some white in as well), Safari Ltd Designer TOOBS Christmas, toob names from the Mini Christmas Pack printed 2 pages per paper.

I mixed up all the button and toob in the water beads. The girls were very excited. It was fun to see how the button helped hide the toob in the bin.

I put the Christmas Toob names in a sheet protector so it would not get wet.

The next part was just having fun! They dug through the bin until they found all the items. And then I would mix it up again and they would started over again. That is the joy of this activity it can be don several times and it is still fun.

One fun thing we learned as that the buttons would stick to their hands and arms. Soon the challenge became how many buttons can you get to stick to your arms!

  1. I love this! I’m always looking for sensory bins to help my A-Man with his SPD. This one is so creative. I’ll have to look in to getting some water beads! Thank you for sharing!
