Counting Snowflake Number Easy Reader Book

Counting is one of those fun skills that young kids are working on. It is a fun and a great way for them to learn numbers.

I like to put counting together and make little books that they can go with. It is winter and I just love snowflakes. They are always fun.

When I was little I loved to have the snowflakes land on my glove and count them. To go with counting I made a snowflake themed counting book.

How we used this printable

I like to have kids mark words in the books. So we underline the numbers in the sentences as we read.

You can use unifix cubes to help count the snowflakes. You can have them move one cube over for each snowflake added on the book.

You can also use the snowflake counting mat with the book. You can read the page and add snowflakes and ten frame counters as you read. We use unifix cubes on the ten frames and brain flakes for the snowflakes. We use the number 10 mat because that is what we are counting up to.
