December 2015 Book Finds

Every month we are always looking for books to read. It is fun to read the books and enjoy them. I never know what we will find. It had become a fun hunt at the library and the bookstore to see what new books there are to find.

There are always fun old books as well. We have new and old authors we find every month. I always try and share some of my girls favorite books when I can. We always have a load of books out from the library as well. Reading should be fun and entertaining for everyone.

This month is a combination of books we bought and some from the library.

How to Read a Story has 10 steps to reading a book! I just love reading this one. It is fun to read the questions and have fun with it. Plus it gives kids some fun ideas about reading voices in the book. Who says every voices has to be the same.

Beyond the Pond is a great book about imagination and where it can take you. I loved the creative ideas it showed in the book. Just where would a pond take you?

Lizard from the Park is about a boy who finds an eggs and gets a new pet that grows bigger than you can imagine. Now he has to find a solution for his pet lizard.

Boats Float! (Richard Jackson Book) has loads of fun boats to look at. While you read the book just see how many times it says boat! I love the different boats shown from around the world. You see both big and small boats.

The Story I’ll Tell is a book about the story parents would tell their adoptive child. I really like this book. It points out that no matter where you came from that parents will love you. I have friends who have adopted and I’ll be sharing this book with them.

The Story of Snowflake and Inkdrop is a fun book told two differen ways: by the inkblot and by the snowflake. I love how this books turns out. It is so pretty and fun to read. We loved allthe cutouts in the book.
