One of the great themes of Christmas is the Christmas lights. My girl love looking at the lights. This was a fun change in the activities with the lights. We have been working on colors and fine motor. This was a great way to combined the two activities.
This makes such a great activity for kids. The lights are small and great for pincher grasps. Plus they get some great sensory input pushing the lights into the playdough. It works nicely for working on coloring sorting as well.
The small Christmas tree lights are small about 1 inch in size and they and you working on small fine motor to pick up and push in the playdough. It is also fun to push them into the playdough.
The color matching also gives them something to work on. The colors in the lights are: red, blue, green, orange, white, pink and purple.
You can change up this activity by rolling a die and have them put that many into the playdough. You can also do the same activity with removing the lights from the playdough.
