Finger Painting Flowers – Mrs. Spitzer’s Garden

We read the book Mrs. Spitzer’s Garden by Edith Pattou. This is a fun book about how your grow flowers. We loved this book last year and still do this year. The girls wanted to read it again. I pulled it out of the Spring box and we had fun! After reading the book we made finger print flowers with smiles on them.

What you need: paint holder, different colors of paints, wet wash clothe in container and paper.

They started by drawing green lines for the stems and grass on the bottom.

Then they made the centers of our flowers. (Amelia completed hers one flower at a time.)

They picked the colors for the petals.

After they finished with the flowers we put smiles on them.

The final product.

Check out our project from last year!

  1. We always keep a wet washcloth on hand too. It’s way easier than cleaning off the stair railing, the light switches, and the bathroom counters. 🙂

Great flowers they made! I especially love that one with the smile.
