Groundhog Day Books

Groundhog Day is a fun theme to do in late January and Early February. We always look forward to doing activities around it. There are so many fun activities that you can do. We had a ton of fun with the Groundhog Day Pack last year.

Every year I look to see what new books have come out and we also reread several of our favorite books from the years before. It is always fun to find new books to read.

Groundhog’s Day Off is great one about how the groundhog does not like always being asked the same question. So he takes a vaccation and takes his shadow with him. He leaves a note for the people. It is fun to read about what happens next. We really enjoyed this new book. I can’t wait to read it again with my girls.

Groundhog’s Dilemma is another new book for us this year. The groundhog is tired of no matter what happens half of his friends are upset by what he says. He wants to please all his friends but he only says what the weather will does nto predict it at all. I have a fun time read this one and will enjoy it with my girls.

Groundhog Day! by Gial Gibbons is a great book about learning more about the history other facts about groundhogs day. I love these books in her series.

Groundhog Gets a Say is a book where the groundhog wants you to know he can do mroe than show his shadow once a year. You can find out about his other names and talnets that the groundhog has.

Who Will See Their Shadows This Year? is another funny book to read. I really liked reading about all the other animals and how jealous of the groundhog and his shadow. Everyone wants to show their shadow instead.

Groundhog Weather School: Fun Facts About Weather and Groundhogs is a fun way to learn abouh groundhogs and the weather. The book has the animals tell you about the weather changes with the seasons.
