Jill from Enchanted Homeschooling Mom

I want to introduce you to Jill from Enchanted Homeschooling Mom blog. I have been following her blog for just over a year now. I have loved and used several of her printables. She always does such fun thing with her kids and really is a great Homeschooling mom!

My name is Jill and I am the creator and author at Enchanted Homeschooling Mom blog and my brand new E.H.M. Member’s Only Website. I have been homeschooling my two children for over 5 years now. Life can get busy very quickly in my household with a husband, 2 children, and 3 dogs. Not to mention all of the other wild animals that we have adopted as “family” on our 7 acres piece of rural property. I frequently write about Bob our roadrunner that sits on my porch chair as I hang up wash, all the rabbits that hang out and run loops around the house, and those pesky critters Chip & Dale, the young squirrels that take down our wash, LOL. It is actually those pesky squirrels that inspired my blog name because Pip from Enchanted was a squirrel and our family is very much into anything Disney. The 3 family dogs are also named after Disney characters of some sort (Gus Gus, Daisy, and Captain Jack Sparrow).

Why did I choose to start down the homeschooling path? We stumbled into the homeschooling world when our son was 3 years old and the preschool he was attending ½ days 5 days a week gave a 3 day notice that all students would have to be full time and pay for a full time program. As a stay at home Mom it seemed ridiculous to me that a 3 year old had to go to a pre-school days 5 days a week for at least six hours each day. My husband and I made a pact around that time to teach at home while we hunted for a new preschool. The bonds that we created with our son during that time matured into the start of our family’s homeschooling journey. The time was well worth it with my son, so we decided to stop looking for a pre-school and start teaching at home.

I pride myself in the time and attention I place on educating and enriching our children’s education through my creations, crafts, and ideas. It is also my philosophy that as the parent and teacher it is my responsibility to enrich our children’s strong subjects and help enhance the ones that they struggle with. It also doesn’t hurt that I also try to make the lesson being taught fun while still having educational value. My printables are all created from the stand point of enhancing what the student is learning or has already learned. My website can be found at www.enchantedhomeschoolingmom.com . It is packed full of over 110, yes 110 different printables that range in grade level from Pre-K to 3rd grade (and will continue growing in grade levels as my children graduate each grade level).
