Easy Fine Motor Craft: Torn Paper Apple Trees

Apple is a great theme for the fall. This is a fun and easy-to-do Apple craft and book learning for kids!

Torn paper crafts are one of our favorite crafts to do! They are simple and easy.

And the torn paper apple tree makes a great paper apple tree craft for kids!

We read The Life Cycle of an Apple Tree (Plant Life Cycles). We learned about the apple tree from seed to a tree full of apples.

Then we made our own apple trees with a torn paper craft. This is a great preschool apple tree craft.

What is a torn paper craft?

A torn papercraft is where kids tear the paper and then glue it to make a craft. Torn paper crafts are a great way to build up fine motor skills while doing a craft. It builds up the finger to help with holding a pencil.

So these torn paper apple trees are great fall fine motor craft.

How we made the Torn Paper Apple Trees

Glue on the Grass

They glued on the green hill the apple tree would be. The green paper was cut out and ready for them to put on the blue construction paper.

They put the glue on the back of the green paper and then placed in on the bottom of the blue paper.

Glued on the Trunk of the Apple Tree

They glued on the trunk of the apple tree. They tore the brown construction paper and then glue it on the background to make the trunk.

They each picked how big and the size the truck of the apple tree was.

Glued on the Green Leaves of the Apple Tree

They glued on the leaves of the tree. They make sure to make a big circle at the top of the trunk for the apple tree.

Make the Apples

They tore the red construction paper and made small red paper to make the apples on the tree.

Then they glued the apples on the apple tree. They did a mix of where the apples should be placed.

Our Finall Torn Apple Tree

The finished product. We were all done and the girls decided they needed falling apples from their trees. You never know what they will get out of a book.

  1. So fun! I especially love the falling apples. It really is AMAZING what they get out of books. I’ll tell my little miss something, and I quite often hear in response “like the book mama”. She is always referencing her books 🙂
