Monthly Goals November 2015

Every month I set goals. I have found them very important to me. I’m always reviewing and seeing what works and what does not. Yes, some of the goals are the same each month. I do that because it makes me remember what I’m going to focus on and how it is important.

Goals should be something you can work on and check off. Some goals take multiple steps and I try and keep track of those steps. Goals should be something you can reach with the time you have set. I have been using my Goals Printable to keep track of bigger goals that need different steps.

Blog Goals

October was full of ups and downs for me. I have several projects that I started but did not get finished. I really wanted to put my best effort into finishing them. Life has a way of happening and then you don’t get them done. I was ahead for posts much of the month then I just got busy and did not get as much done. I did finish several of my goals from last month. That did make me happy.

I did for the first time in whole time I’ve been doing my blog consider stopping. I’ve let many bad comments just get me down. It is so hard to just focus on positive when you hear so many bad things. I have been working through why I do this blog and the reason I started and keep it going is still the same. I hope to keep that in mind. I have some really fun selling projects coming out really soon! Be sure to keep an eye out for them!

  • Change hosts for my blog (in progress and very frustrating)
  • Start getting a new letter out every week.
  • Finish up next BIG Selling set for January
  • Finish 2 smaller selling products
  • Don’t buy any new craft supplies for the rest of the year
  • Clean up my blogging area DAILY. I feel and work better when things are not cluttered. If it takes me 5 minutes to find something it is too messy.
  • Update 2 old post each week or update two download pages with links to the blog. (ON GOING)
  • Come up with a system to keep track of printables completed but not out.
  • Keep a better list of projects started but not finished (I have around 33 projects started. I started lots of printables I did not finish this month.)
  • Post on Facebook a daily thread for what I’m thankful for.

Family Goals

We have had a busy month with our family. It was one full of many different things happening. We had two ER trips which makes and changes everything for the month. I know that life happens and it means we go with the flow. I was happy when I was organized enough that it did not effect things for the whole month, but the last trip did make things no go well. I can say that having a clean house is important.

I have let a lot of things go. For two days, I did not do my daily cleaning and it made a huge difference in the house and how everyone felt. The family always feels better when things are clean. A messy place is a place where everyone gets frustrated.

  • Write down what we are thankful for every day! Use the 30 Days of Giving Thanks with Free Printable
  • Update our ER trip bag and check list
  • Keep a TO DO LIST! I need this I get more done even if I don’t complete it all
  • Declutter one area 15 minutes every day until one area is clean. The areas I’ll be cleaning are kitchen, stairs, my bedroom, the office room (Look for pictures on Instagram
  • Have no laundry to fold at the end of the day. Then keep track on my to-do list, so I don’t forget laundry in washer.
  • Remove some older toys and books from the girls room.
  • Read more to my girls not less
  • Find one on one time more with my girls
  • Add to the girls chore list (Working on Chore Charts)
  • Take better advantage of the days out of school or half days
  • Plan out lunches and snacks for school
  • Keep better track of papers coming in from school – come up with a sorting system
  • Make a Christmas Shopping List
  • Plan my thanksgiving Dinner in advance – Using Thanksgiving Menu Printable

Personal Goals

Every month that I remember to make sure I focus some on me I am a better mom and wife. There is so much taking care of yourself. If I’m not at my best, then I can’t be at my best for everyone else. I have found that the time I take for me is not a bad thing. I can get more done when I feel better. I have made sure that what I need to do is done first before blog and other things. I have been taking my normal blog time from the last year and doing my fitness. I can say for the first time in over a year that I feel good. Still not 100% but good. I had so many medical problems the last year it has been hard to keep up with everything.

  • Daily Fitness – This means fitness comes before ANYTHING else. I have been doing this for two months and making this goal again because it is a good reminder for me.
  • Make 10,000 steps EVERY day. I’ll be using a Fitbit Charge HR Wireless Activity Wristband to help with my tracking.
  • Keep making healthy choices
  • Work on a Daily, Weekly, Months Cleaning Chart (in progress of making)
  • Read 5 fun books during the month – Don’t always get new books, enjoy rereading books as well.
  • Finish two books on my self help and parenting books list.
  • Limit all sugar and no soda – VERY important
  • Record all my food
  • Stretch three times a day to avoid problems
  • Color in my coloring book when I get stressed or need a mommy time out

What are you goals for the month? Leave a comment and let me know.

  1. Wonderful list! There are always, ALWAYS going to be negative people! Please dont quit. I depend on you, seriously, and so do my children! I am new to homeschooling. I’ve been teaching my oldest son for 2 years, and it was NOT fun the first 2 years. This year, I’m teaching him and my 2-yr old, and it is FUN because of bloggers like you!! They adore your printables, and we are ALWAYS doing school because they can’t get enough! And to top it off, you have inspired me so much I have started my own teaching blog! There are printables I need but can’t find! I decided to make my own, and contribute to the information highway! I hope to help and inspire others to be better educators, parents, tutors, and students! Thank you for all you do for me!
