November 2012 Book Finds

November Book Finds

The books this month a lot come from looking at Christmas books we wanted to get this year. I hope that you can enjoy them as much as we have and will during the holiday season!

Yum Yum!: What Fun!

Yum Yum!: What Fun! by Mara Bergman and Nick Maland is a great book about two kids and a dog that are baking and don’t see who is sneaking into the house. A lot of different animals! I love the repeat text in the book. It is great fun for the kids to act out parts of the text as well! It was also fun to see who came last!

The Birds of Bethlehem

The Birds of Bethlehem by Tomie dePaola is a great Nativity book. I used it as the Virtual Book Club Book this month. It was lot of fun for the girls and I. I love how the story is told in a different fashion and you get to learn colors at the same time. I will be using this with my Nativity Pack.

The Twelve Days of Christmas

The Twelve Days of Christmas by Dan Andreasen is a fun look at the Twelve Days of Christmas. The character are draw fun and the girls just loved the book. It also made it fun to sing the song to as well! Christmas books are always fun and this one is no different. I look forward to reading it during the Christmas Season again with the girls.

The Wise Man's Last Wish: A Christmas Tale

The Wise Man’s Last Wish: A Christmas Tale by Marilee Alexander and Gisele Nash is a wonderful tale about one of the wise men and his story and what happens to him. How that one night changed his life. I love this twist on the tale and how it is told. The art work is also wonderful!
