November 2015 Book Finds

I just love looking for different and new books. Sometimes the same author will put out many books that we like, or it is an author we have never read before. There are always new books to find. We go to the library at least once or twice a week to get new books. We also try and visit a bookstore once a month. The bookstore allows my girls to look at lots of different books for the season and different variety of books.

November 2015 Book Finds: dragons, Cinderlla, Elephant & Piggie, snow, fairy tales -

This month is a mix of books we have bought and got at the library. I really do enjoy reading the books with them.

Very Little Cinderella (The Very Little Series) is a different telling of Cinderlla and we love it! We had the other books in the series as a book find before. I love all the things that Cinderlla and her fairy godmother that is baby sitting her. This is a fun book to read.

I (Don’t) Like Snakes is a great book to learn all about snakes! I love the details they give and such a fun way to learn. The family all like snakes but one girl. They teach her all about snakes and in the end she likes them. They have lots of fun ideas and facts about snakes. Plus there is an index at the back to read over details that you child might like to know about.

Book is a book I could look at for hours! We really do like this one. It has some fun pictures and text from different books that makes different sentences all over the page. PLUS there is text is different languages as well. The book starts off plan and points out there are no buttons or levels here. I love where you go in the story. Plus looking at all the extra text is just fun!

Some Things I’ve Lost is a great book for seeing what this artist creates with his paper creations. One object just changes into another. I love the creative flow and opening each flap to see what is changes into.

Please, Open This Book! is a fun book to read. You have to save the animals in the book by going through the book. There is another book by the same author we read earlier this year and loved. It is fun to find new books we love that have other books we like as well. I love that this book goes from cover to cover! Every page is a part of the book.

The Little Snowplow is a bookstore book we picked up. The girls wanted it when they saw all the snow in the cover picture. I like how to story shows that just because you are little does not mean you can’t help out.

Perhaps is a great book about shapes and how they can change to make things. This was a museum find for us. I love all the colors and creations in the book. Just how many things can you make with three different shapes! This would make a great craft activity book!

Ketzel, the Cat Who Composed is base on a true story. These are always fun to read. My oldest just loves cats and this book was one she wanted. We read the book and enjoyed how to story progressed.

I Really Like Slop! (An Elephant and Piggie Book) is really fun. Who does not love these books? My youngest and I read at least 3 books in the series a day! It is really fun to read the books and enjoy the stories.

There Was an Old Dragon Who Swallowed a Knight very similar to the Old Lady Who Swallowed series. I just love those books and this is a new favorite at our house. This is tons of fun to read. I love the repeative words and seeing what comes next. Plus dragons are a favorite at our house.
