Earth Day is almost here and we are busy using up the arts and craft supplies at our house. We decide that we would not buy any new craft supplies during the months of March April and May. It is our part of the Earth Day.
Today we have a Washi Tape Green Tree. I pulled out all of my green washi tapes for us to use.
I love these types of crafts because everyone can create their own idea. Plus you get some great fine motor work in as well.
One of our favorite Earth Day Books is Curious George Plants A Tree. We have read it every year. This year my girls are reading it to me.
Trees are a great Earth Day theme and one that is important to remember. I love how in the spring the trees are really green and different colors of green as the season progresses.
What you need for this activity:
- wood grain washi tape. (We got ours at Michaels but these are similar colors in the links.)
- green washi tape
- leaves washi tape
The first thing we always do is build the tree. We use the wood grain washi tape for this. We always use both types.
Next was building the green leaves on the tree. All four of us had different ideas of what our trees should look like. It is fun to see how the mix of colors come together to make the trees.
After we finished out trees we put the grass on the ground. I love that everyone did their own thing.
Here is a look at our final washi tape green trees.
