Watercolor Color Wheel – Monsters Love Color

It was some time ago I saw a book in target called Monsters Love Colors. I took a picture so I would remember it later. The girls have just loved this book. The librarian ordered it for us! We love it. It is a great way to explore the colors all around and to do some scribbling!

What you need: watercolor colored pencils red, yellow, blue, paint brush, bowl with water, and paper with 6 black circles.

We colored in the 3 main colors: red, yellow and blue. They started coloring very slowly.

We colored the main colors in the two other circles next to the color. The girls really got into this scribbling. It was a lot like the scribbles in the book.

Now came the part they liked best, putting the water on the scribbles! This was fun because the mixed watercolor pencils showed up very nicely.

After we finished we looked at our color wheels and read through the book again!
