Measuring is a great math skill for kids to learn. You can measure so many different ways.

Today I have a measure that pumpkin printable that helps with measuring.

You can use the measuring cards and worksheet to help kids learn more about how to measure.

This is a great addition to the pumpkin printables on the site.

Measuring is a type of math that you can start at different ages, but mostly starts in late PreK and Kindergarten.

The Measure the Pumpkin Printable works on measuring the height of a pumpkin. You have six different sizes of pumpkins to measure and a recording sheet.

You can see the measurement recording sheet here. It has space for all 6 pumpkins you will measure. Plus you can write the number and color the blocks to match what the measurement was.

You can see the six pumpkins to measure here. They have an arrow on the side to help with the measuring. I recommend printing these on cardstock to help them last longer.

Ways to Use the Measure the Pumpkin Printable Printable

You are going to see the different parts of the printable in use.

Measure the Pumpkin

You take the first pumpkin and measure it with unifix cubes. I like the cubes to add an extra hands-on part since they come apart.

If you don’t have unifix cubes there is a measuring printable in the set. It is about the same size as the unfix cubes.

Record the Height of the Pumpkin

After you have the measurement of the height of the pumpkins, you then record it on the worksheet. You color in the blocks on the side to match and then write how many blocks there area.

All six pumpkins have numbers to make it easy to see where they should record for each pumpkin.
