We have been working on fun ways to practice our multiplication math facts.
There are so many ways to do this. We have been working on flash cards and spinning multiplication. They have both been fun to do. At my house, the girls just love to do the roll and cover activities.
By adding this one element it makes their learning fun and not always a chore to do the extra math work. This is a fun free zoo theme multiplication roll and cover.
This is a fun addition to the multiplication printables on the site.
Zoo has to be one of our favorite themes to work with and this is loads of fun to use. There are 12 different zoo animals for all 12 numbers. That way when you change the multiplication number they are working on, you change the animal as well. You can make it something they can work up to
Each of the pages has 12 equations off to the side. They have space to write out all 12 equations.

Things we used with the Multiplication Roll & Cover
- printer
- copy paper
- 12-sided dice
- pencil
- paperclips
- clear spinners
- sheet protectors
- dry erase markers
- binder
- clear counters
Ways to use this printable
We have been using a 12-sided dice for our rolling. But if you don’t have one there is a spinning chart in the set. You can use the clear spinners
on it.

You can use dot marker on the numbers. You fill out the rolls on the side and then dot the answer. It is a fun way to work on multiplication.

If you want to make the printable a math center you can. It is easy. I just give them a set of multiplication flashcards on a ring, the page in a sheet protector
dry erase markers
, and clear counters
.
They can write in the answer from the flashcards on the side and cover answers with the clear counters.

I get asked all the time how I store my printables and these go into a multiplication binder that we use. It has the printables back to back. They can pull out and use the ones they need.

What you will find in the free multiplication printables:
- 13 pages total
- 1-12 spinner
- Zoo theme: 12 different animals
- Chart on the side to keep track of equations
- Numbers 1 through 12
