Monthly Goals February 2014 for 3 Dinosaurs

3 Dinosaurs Monthly Goals

January went really well for me. It had some ups and down. I found that having the goals written down really did help me try and keep them. I think that goals are important. I think I do better when I’m working on goals. Goals keep us working on who and what we are. It gives me direction that I have not been gong on lately. I have started reading Say Goodbye to Survival Mode: 9 Simple Strategies to Stress Less, Sleep More, and Restore Your Passion for Life. It has a lot of good points in the book. I will be using this book as a guide for a lot of my goals for the year.

Monthly Goals

Blog Goals

These are the Monthly Goals for February for the blog:

  • Update 3 download pages
  • Work on my big project and try to finish
  • Try and post 2 crafts posts or book posts a week
  • Do 3 ideas from the idea notebook.
  • Post LESS printables! Yes I know I have tons but really we do more than just printables! I just don’t always post them.
  • Get projects in on time
  • Start looking towards the 2014 Summer Program

These are my year only goals for 3 Dinosaurs. These are the same as last month, but it is good reminder for me to post again each month. I have been printing my posts to review during the month. This month I’ve been blogging at 3 Dinosaurs for 2 years.

  • Be at least 3 or 4 days ahead
  • Work on using more SEO
  • Do at least one how to use printable a month
  • Use a Blog Planner to keep track of posts and ideas – I am using
  • Update old post with 3 links & make good Pin photo

Before I get lots of email about making less printables. I have a lot of on the site. I need more time in my day. So that means less doing things that take up my time during the day.

Family Goals

We are still having the theme for the year. “See A Need” It is going well so far. I hope to keep up what I can. I did great with some of the other goals. The laundry did great until the end. the last week I had laundry all over. I plan on keeping the goal of laundry. It will keep me on my toes. I also did get rid of some of the toys in the house. The girls know some of them are gone but most they don’t seem to be missing at all.

  • Have no laundry to fold at the end of the day
  • Make a menu each week (I may end up making my own printable for this)
  • Do more reading together
  • Work on everyone having chores

I’m still using the printable from last month for making my goals.

  1. The book that you mentioned, Say Goodbye to Survival Mode, sounds great. I’m definitely going to check it out. I love the menu plan idea. It’s something I’ve thought about but never put into action. Looking forward to hearing more about your big project and your Summer Program. I have no idea how you get so much done, even while raising three children! You’re an amazing momma. 🙂

    1. I’m hoping that the menu works really well. I need to have a goal to keep with the menu so that I spend less money. I keep spending money on food that we don’t end up using.

I love the book. I”m going to keep with it and work towards having it read by the summer but not just read putting the ideas into use.

I’m looking forward to the summer program as well. Plus I’m loving my big project!

    1. I expect that a few people when they read it will be upset that I’ll do less printables. It will free up some time and give me more chance to work on long term projects and I just need time.

My non-printable post get less traffic, but we shall see.

      1. I was thinking the same as I read your goals. Realistic and measurable… although the laundry cracks me up every time. I admit defeat with that one =)

        1. I wont admit defeat yet with the laundry. I did find out that my magic number is 2 loads a day no matter what. If I keep it to that I do much better.

I need measurable goals. Something I can check off every day and I do better.

  2. Your printables are amazing! I love that you are trying to post more of what you do! I am not a printable person… but yours make me drool everytime 🙂 I love the activities you have been posting lately as well.
Great goals. I look forward to following this month!

    1. Oh You should not drool over the printables! I just do my best and go from there. I have things we do I just don’t always get the post written up.

  3. I could go for no unfolded laundry at the end of the day! Does that include sorting socks and undies? haha I’m so bad about letting those collect. I’m also trying to read more with my older daughter. The two younger ones are impossible right now. I got a set of Raold Dahl books and those are so fun.

    1. Yes it included socks and undies! I don’t want any around at all! I think that at times just because my oldest can read now that I don’t read as often to her, when I should be reading more to her.
