You can have kid roll the dice and then trace one of the matching prewriting squares. You can see there are two places to trace for each side of the prewriting practice die. Both prewriting practice dice have matching prewriting worksheets.

You can see that we put the prewriting practice worksheet in a sheet protector and used dry erase markers
to trace the page over and over.

  1. Hello, I am a homeschooling mom wanting to download the handwriting dice. I went into it several times and I am unable to download it. Please help.

    Thank you,

    Katie C.

  2. WOW, what an awesome idea. I was trying to think of a fun way to practice writing with my 4 year old. This is it!! Thank you!

  3. HI, I love the practice dice. Maybe I’m lacking imaginationm but I;m
not sure how to respond to some of the pictures e.g. wavy lines etc.

    Thanks,
    Gail Jenaway

    1. This is just for shapes and lines to practice writing. There is a set that will be coming soon for ABCs.

  4. This is one of the most ingenious ideas I’ve seen. I absolutely love it and I’m definitely going to use it right away. After doing shapes with my class (the basic circle, square, triange, rectange), I’m also going to use this idea to reinforce identifying the shapes and drawing them too!
I’m not sure how you intended to use the cards but I’m thinking of using them as play dough mats:)
Thank you so much for this. (Will post as a great ‘find’ on my blog)
