How we painted our flags with Q-Tips
First we reviewed the colors on the paper. We talked about he 13 stripes and what they mean.

Then we went about painting with q-tips. Each had their own way to do their painting. There was a lot to do so the girls took their time.

The final product.
I hope that you enjoy this simple activity! There are other fun flag activities in the 4th Of July Pack!

So my kids are not the only ones that missed the color coded spots and gave the flag 3 red strips in a row.
Not at all! And this is the second one we have done. We did the 100 chart type already. They were having fun and not paying attention.
We used the 100s chart for math so I had her go one number at a time. On each list at the bottom. Find this number. Find that number.
I’m loving this craft idea! Thanks so much for sharing. It will definitely be used this 4th of July!
I love how this gives you a chance to talk about the symbolism and history of the flag too! Thanks so much for sharing it at Teach Me Tuesday at Preschool Powol Packets!!
