Happy Flag Day! What better way to celebrate than to do a Q-Tip American Flag! It is nice simple and easy.

This is one of the pages out of the Free 4th of July Pack and I’m going to show you how we use the Q-tip American Flag.

A great book to read with this craft is F Is for Flag (Reading Railroad Books). It teaches kids about the flag and the different symbols for the flag.

There are all the items we used for this q-tip flag craft.

How we painted our American Flags with Q-Tips

First we reviewed the colors on the paper. We talked about the red, white and blue colors on the flags.

Then we went about painting with q-tips. Each had their own way to do their painting. There was a lot to do so the girls took their time.

    So my kids are not the only ones that missed the color coded spots and gave the flag 3 red strips in a row.

      Not at all! And this is the second one we have done. We did the 100 chart type already. They were having fun and not paying attention.
