We have been doing several easy and fun valentines painting projects. They are always so much fun to do. This is such a simple and easy painting project for all ages!
This was a fun project where I gave them the supplies and let them decide how the project would turn out. This is a great child lead activity. You can show them how to do it but they will each make the activity their own project. Each of them did their own things with the tools they were given.
One book we read before this was Love Monster. It is a very cute valentines book.
What you need for this activity: heart cookie cutters, watercolors
and paper.

This project was done using the watercolors and cookie cutters. We used the cookie cutters to make our hearts. They would hold the heart cookie cutter in place while they painted.

Everyone had their own idea of how we would do the painting. Each make the project theirs. This was so much fun to see what fun ideas they would create while we painted.

Here is a look at the final project from all four of us. Each had their own idea and made the painting tons of fun.
