This is a fun and easy fall sensory bin. I love it because it has two different textures mixed together.<\/p>\n

What I love about sensory bins is that this is open play for most of the time. You can give them the tools but they play how they want to play. They create their own learning experience. For the most part I sit with her for few minutes and answer her questions. My youngest Mary loves plays with the bins all by herself. She creates her own play with whatever she is given.<\/p>\n

What you need: bin, table toppers (pumpkins, leaves & acorns) from the Target Dollar section, rice, cups and Easy Grip Tweezers<\/a>\"\".<\/p>\n

For today’s play this is what Mary did:<\/p>\n

She sorting the items into the cups and dumped them out.<\/p>\n

She put one acorn in a cup and covered it with rice and pretended to have it grow up to be a tree. Repeated the same activity for the pumpkin as well.<\/p>\n

She put Rice in a cup to cover the other items in the bin.<\/p>\n

She used the Easy Grip Tweezers<\/a>\"\". to pick up leaves and pumpkins. She said the acorns were to round for her to pick up.<\/p>\n

She also like to just drop rice over the bin and listen to the noise it made on the table toppers.<\/p>\n

It is always fun to watch them explore new items and play with them in unexpected ways! During the school year we always have a sensory bin for the girls to play with.<\/p>\n
