<\/div>\nThe Spider & Bat Sensory Bin is a great addition to the Halloween activities<\/a> and sensory bins<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n This is a theme we are doing this year Spiders and Bats. We are very much enjoying it. Part of this was a fun sensory bin! You never know what you will learn or the kids will do with a sensory bin. I might every now and then give them a challenge with them but for the most part they have free and open time play with them. This also goes really nicely with the Bat & Spider Pack<\/a><\/p>\n What you need: bin, rice, bat erasers, bat & spider buttons (JoAnn Fabric’s & AC Moore), glow in the dark spiders (Target), cups and easy grip tweezers <\/a> Mary started to go through all the items in the bin. She loved the different collection of items together.<\/p>\n She then started to pour rice all over the items in the bin. She loves to cover things with rice. She would spend at least 30 minutes covering the buttons, erasers and other items with rice. She loves to just play in the bins for a long time.<\/p>\n She picked up things with the easy grip tweezers and had a fun time exploring and sorting the items. We talked about the different textures in the bin: soft, smooth, rough, and more.<\/p>\n Later she got to explore the bin with her sisters. They have different ways of playing together with these items. They went through bin, made parades of spiders, and sorted them by color. You never know what fun they will create on their own.<\/p>\n Things we did with the bin that I did not get pictures of was some estimating of how much we scooped up in our cup. How much can you put in your cup and how many are there. They had fun looking at what they collected in their cups. It was lots of fun and entertainment for all around. It was fun to see who had the most and who did not.
