\nAfter doing the Gem Wreath<\/a> the other day. My middle girl really wanted to do something with the gems. I put a simple pattern set together for her to finish. She loved it.<\/p>\n

What you need: green gem stones<\/a>\"\", red gem stones<\/a>\"\" and paper so they show up. (This would also be fun on a light table.)<\/p>\n

The patterns are AB, AABB, BAA, and ABB.<\/p>\n

Amelia was given simple patterns and told to complete the patterns. Where she started was up to her. She decided to match up each row as she went. She completed the first two patterns and then worked on the rest. She would say the pattern as she went. It was lots of fun for her to do. We ended up doing this twice. She stood up in the middle of the first time doing it and all the gems slide off the paper. She was upset but enjoyed doing the activity.<\/p>\n
