<\/a>\n<\/div>\nThere are so many ways a bin like this can be explored. It is fun to watch as they explore.<\/p>\n
What you need: fake pine branches, bells (red, green & gold), tinsel pom poms, foam balls (red, gold and green) and pipe cleaners.<\/p>\n
<\/div>\nWe explored the different textures of the items in the bin. We looked at how they were different. You have soft, hard, smooth and scratchy textures in the bin. We counted different types foam balls in the sensory bin. <\/p>\n
<\/div>\nThen we had some fun doing fine motor with the pipe cleaners and bells. This was great to work on the pincer grasp. It gives them something to also hear while they are doing it. After they got several bells on they would shake them. We compared how the sounds were with one bell vs several bells.<\/p>\n
<\/div>\nThen Mary did some exploring the different sounds that items in the bin made. She loves to drop things into the sensory bin. It was fun to hear the different sounds the items made.<\/p>\n
<\/div>\nAfter she did that a few times she dropped them on the floor and listened to all the sounds the bells. We also noticed that the foam balls bounced on the floor. It was fun to see how high the foam balls would bounce.<\/p>\n
<\/div>\nI let them do what they want with the bin. They are be very creative when they want. They are looking forward to playing with this bin until Christmas! They made cute birds nest out of the items from the bin.<\/p>\n
