Coloring flowers is an easy science project that everyone can do almost anywhere.<\/p>\n

We cut up 4 stems of mums. The girls each picked a color. Amelia picked red. Mary picked yellow. Rose picked green. We kept one set white to compare later.<\/p>\n

After a few hours we checked and saw some changes already. The green showed up the fastest. Yellow was the hardest to see just looking at the flower.<\/p>\n

The next day we saw more of a change. Amelia liked how she could see the color strips on the petals. We talked about how the flowers pull the water up the stems to the petals.<\/p>\n

The final coloring of the flowers after 4 days.<\/p>\n
