The one thing that always bothered me was that you always learn sets of words together. Each of those activities were based around three of four sight words.<\/p>\n They do work well if you are just learning your sight words and not following learning to read system. With my girls, we were supplementing what was learned at school. <\/p>\n I had the idea of creating little packs for each word. These could also be used as a decoration mat or color the letters. You can use clear counters on the circles. Then use the dot marker. You have tracing the word, coloring the word, and writing the word.
