With Earth Day coming up we have been doing some fun tree fine motor activities. I thought I would post a few that my youngest did the other day.<\/p>\n

This is a great addition to the Earth Day activities<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n

When I can always like to give a book with the activities that we do. It means a lot more to the girls and they remember the book when they look at the craft. Before these activities we read Curious George Plants A Tree<\/a>\"\". We talked about how important trees are.<\/p>\n

What you need for this activity: 2 pages from the Mini Earth day Pack<\/a>, Dot the T from the T Pack<\/a>, glue, foam brush, construction paper: green, brown & blue, green glass gems<\/a>\"\", Do A Dot Art Marker Rainbow 6-pack<\/a>\"\", and Do A Dot Art Marker Brilliant 6-pack<\/a>\"\".<\/p>\n

The first activity that she did was putting Glass gems on a dot marker tree<\/a>. This is great for fine motor. While she put the gems on we counted them. She would take a handful out and we would guess how many she had. Then we would count as she placed them on the tree.<\/p>\n

The second activity that she did was to dot the T & G on the dot marker tree<\/a>. She had two colors of green and had to match up the correct colors for each letter. This is fun and can easily be change for sight words, other letters, or CVC words.<\/p>\n

She did the color by number tree with glue and torn paper. This worked on her colors and fine motor. She also put the glue on with a foam brush to make it different. This makes a coloring page a hands on activity.<\/p>\n

The last activity she asked for. She wanted to put pom poms on the letter T. And that is just what we did. She loves when we change things up.<\/p>\n
