This week we used socks. Rose and Amelia have been putting on a different socks each day and making patterns out of them.<\/p>\n<p>This is also a great activity to do with the book <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Fox-Socks-Beginner-Books-Seuss\/dp\/0394800389\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?keywords=fox+in+socks&#038;qid=1583235433&#038;sr=8-1&#038;linkCode=ll1&#038;tag=3dinos-20&#038;linkId=f841d90a09d346c8e5bbfe35ddb7d539&#038;language=en_US\">Fox in Socks<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>They put the socks on and then decide what the pattern will be. They repeat the pattern verbally.<\/p>\n<p>So this pattern was yellow, dinosaur, dinosaur, yellow. When asked what would come next after the yellow they both said Dinosaur.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/blog\/5-2012\/sockpatterns1.jpg\" alt=\"sock patterns\" \/><\/div>\n<p>Then they matched the socks up and told me which foot had which sock on it.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/blog\/5-2012\/sockpatterns2.jpg\" alt=\"sock patterns\" \/><\/div>\n<p>They picked out socks the next day and did the same thing, but added Mary into the pattern.
