<\/a>\n<\/div>\nJack Be Nimble is a great short poem that is easy to memorize or just something to have fun with. We are using the version from The Real Mother Goose<\/a> What you need for these activities:<\/p>\n The first activity we did was make the poem. I did not tell them what the poem would be in advance. I let them guess as they made it.<\/p>\n After they made the poem we picked out the two rhyming words quick and candlestick. We then said other words that rhymed with them.<\/p>\n We did a little reciting of the poem and jumping over our candle stick. This was a fun way to bring the poem alive for them. We started off with a small candle stick.<\/p>\n Then we moved to a large candle stick. This is something they really loved doing! It was simple and reading the poem before the jump made it fun.<\/p>\n Something fun to go with this activity is a Jack Be Nimble pack!<\/p>\n I put this pack together as a way to do more activities with the poem Jack Be Nimble.
