Listening to them read me same story for the 5th time today because they really want it read again.<\/p>\n
Taking the time to stop and be apart of what is happening rather than sitting off to the side.<\/p>\n
Painting fingernails even when it is not a great time to do it.<\/p>\n
Seeing the needs of a child before it become a problem.<\/p>\n
Reading the same book over and over because they love it.<\/p>\n
Taking time away from busy work and taking time with them.<\/p>\n
Seeing more in a day than just how many dishes I’ve done or laundry I’ve washed.<\/p>\n
Watching the first and lasts in their lives.<\/p>\n
Reading later than planned because they just want one more chapter.<\/p>\n
Studying books that they might like to have me read.<\/p>\n
Staying up later to make sure everyone is okay.<\/p>\n
Watching the same movie again because it is their favorite.<\/p>\n
Sharing my love with them.<\/p>\n
Lots of extra hugs during the day.<\/p>\n
Fixing the foods they like to eat and seeing them smile.<\/p>\n
Leaving out extra craft materials to have fun.<\/p>\n
Finding extra time for the last minute requests.<\/p>\n
Listening to silly requests and smiling at them.<\/p>\n
Explaining the same thing again and again when they ask.<\/p>\n
Finding what all the parts are to a car engine so I can explain how it works.<\/p>\n
Learning over 150 dinosaurs names and how to pronounce then right.<\/p>\n
It also means taking on lots of extra rolls:<\/h2>\n
A dentist assistant to make my child happy at the dentist.<\/p>\n
A nurse for when they are hurt and sick.<\/p>\n
A late night dream helper for the nightmares.<\/p>\n
A teachers assistant with homework.<\/p>\n
A tour guild on trips.<\/p>\n
A full time dishwasher.<\/p>\n
A seamstress to fix ripped stuff animals.<\/p>\n
A full time cook.<\/p>\n
A creative printable maker on demand.<\/p>\n
A flexible planner of time.<\/p>\n
A full time librarian for their reading needs.<\/p>\n
A dictionary for all the words they want to spell or know about.<\/p>\n
A photographer for all the random pictures they want.<\/p>\n
A referee for all the squabbles that come up.<\/p>\n
A hair dresser for the last minute hair requests.<\/p>\n
A gym teacher for the created gross motor requests.<\/p>\n
and so much more….<\/p>\n
Most of all being a mom means that care and love my girls no matter what.<\/strong><\/p>\n What does being a mom mean to you?<\/p>\n A final thought from me…being a mom is something you learn every day, not something you can be told how to do.<\/p>\n
