The two consonants at the end are a consonant blend. That is two letters that make their own sounds but are together. You can also have two consonants at the end that are digraphs that is two letters that make the same sound.<\/p>\n You will find words like mast, list, gust, post, and nest. These are just a few examples. You are going to find that most of these have a short vowel sound.<\/p>\n These CVCC words have a -st consonant blend at the end of the word.<\/p>\n The CVCC word family cards have eight words per page. I love printing these on cardstock<\/a> You are going to have -ast flashcards, -est flashcards, -ist flashcards, -ost flashcards, -ust flashcards.<\/p>\n The next set of pages in a writing page. This has the first one for them and space for them to practice writing the words. This is great for kids that know how to write. A fun game with these is to use a dice and number the words from 1 to 6 and have them roll the dice and write the word matching the number.<\/p>\n You are going to have a set of -ast writing pages, -est writing pages, -ist writing pages, -ost writing pages, -ust writing pages.<\/p>\n The second writing page is a tracing page. This has the word repeated across the page several times. This is great for the kids that are working on tracing words.
