A fun painting and fine motor activity for kids.<\/p>\n We have been doing a few ocean activities and we love the book Swimmy<\/a> because it fit right in with what we were doing. This is an easy fish cookie cutter painting activity that multiple ages can do. <\/p>\n You want to draw a fish on the paper for younger kids, but older kids can; draw their own fish on the paper.<\/p>\n You are going to see all the steps below we used to make this craft with some suggestions for change if you need them.<\/p>\n First you are going to pick a stop on the fish to start painting. We started at the head of the fish. But you can really start anywhere when painting with watercolors and cookie cutters.<\/p>\n You hold the cookie cutter in place. You can hold on the sides of the top of the fish cookie cutter. Then you pick a red color. We used the big pallet of colors so we have a few different colors of red.<\/p>\n You want to keep painting fish until all the fish on the paper is covered. We used watercolor paper, but you can use finger painting paper as well.<\/p>\n You repeat the steps above to paint the fish. And watercolors are very easy to paint the fish over and over.<\/p>\n After the red fish have made the shape of the fish you then use black paint and paint a black fish to make the eye of the fish.<\/p>\n You follow the same steps that you did for the red fish above.<\/p>\n You can also go back and paint the eyes or draw the eyes on the fish. <\/p>\n We used a maker to paint the eyes but you can use black watercolor as well.
