Wall Cards have been a massive part of our learning. The wall cards can be used in many different ways. We have enjoyed having the different types of wall cards for learning to read.<\/p>\n

The CVCe Word Family Wall Cards are a great addition to the CVCe Word Printables<\/a> and learning to read wall cards<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n

What are CVCE words?<\/h2>\n

CVCE words are work that has the silent e at the end. I have also heard them called “magic e words”. They are Consonant Vowel Consonant E words. <\/p>\n

So that you will find words like mine or hike are CVCe words. The e at the end of the words makes the vowel in the CVCe words a long vowel sound.<\/p>\n

These can be tricky to learn but are great for kids to know the trick about the words.<\/p>\n

CVCe Word Family Wall Cards<\/h2>\n

It depends on the learning to read system that you use but after CVC and CVCC words comes CVCe. This is learning about the silent e at the end of some words. These CVCE wall cards help put rhyming CVCe words together for kids to look at. The wall cards have two CVCe words families per page.<\/p>\n

We put our wall cards on a tri-fold display board<\/a>\"\" while we are working on that set. I change these are the words we are working on change. It allows for me to have more room on the board.<\/p>\n

We really like having the cards on a ring. This makes for a great flip chart for the girls to go through. It is great to introduce a word set or review after they are done. I print the pdf two pages per one page. This allows for smaller cards for smaller hands. I use this laminator<\/a>\"\" and this size of ring<\/a>\"\".<\/p>\n
