We had plans to go to the beach, but they did not happen. So instead we had a shell and water bead sensory bin at home. They are great for kids to explore and be creative all on their own. I sometimes do activities with the items from the bins. There are other times they are just open and fun play.<\/p>\n<p>The textures of the water beads vs the shells are great. They love to run their hands through the water beads.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/blog\/8-2015\/shellwaterbeadsensorybin2.jpg\" alt=\"Shell and Water Sensory Bin - 3Dinosaurs.com\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>One of the first things they did was scoop up water beads with the shells. It was fun to see how they got beads with the different shell types. They also put similar shells together to make a clam shell with a pearl inside. It has been a fun activity to do right before school starts.
