They have easy to sound out consonants with a short vowel sound in the middle. They don’t have any tricky blends or digraphs for kids to work around.<\/p>\n They are considered simple words that can be used with early readers to help sound out and decode words.<\/p>\n You are going to find words like cat. Kids can sound out the letters C A & T. And then blend the sounds together to make the word.<\/p>\n Some CVC words that kids learn are bug, map, sat, dog, pot, pan, etc.<\/p>\n These CVC word bookmarks are a fun way for kids to practice word family words!<\/p>\n You have a picture of the word family, the word family ending and several words with that word family ending. The words are in a line and that makes it easy for kids to read them. There are four bookmarks per page.<\/p>\n There are a few items we used to prepare and used with the bookmarks.<\/p>\n I printed the bookmarks on cardstock<\/a> We have been using them with the Bob Books, Set 1: Beginning Readers<\/a> <\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n This is a collection of the bookmarks above plus a whole lot more. It has 13 additional word families. There are cvc words sorting by beginning sounds. Plus there is a matching phonics ladder to use with the beginning sounds.
