Every season I’ve been doing updates for the CVC and CVCC word family writing ideas. For winter, we are doing a snowman theme. I’ve been very excited about the writing project. It is always fun to have seasonal activities to work on.<\/p>\n

We have been doing a lot more seasonal activities at our house and it has been fun to add into the learning. Some of the theme sets that have come before are flower<\/a>, beach<\/a>, apples<\/a>, and Christmas tree<\/a>. Each of these different types of word charts are fun for kids to make and use.<\/p>\n

There are five snowmen on each page. This gives you a chance to make 5 different words with the same word family ending.<\/p>\n

Each word family has a writing page with it. You can write a sentence about the words you made or practice writing the words again over and over.<\/p>\n

We use them many different ways. It is fun for my youngest to stamp her words rather than write them all out. It changes up the activity for her. What you need for the activity: CVC Word Family Wall Cards<\/a>, alphabet stamps<\/a>\"\", stamp pad<\/a>\"\", and snowman themed cvc pages.<\/p>\n

Depending on the age level it depends on how my girls do the pages. My youngest loves using the stamps to make the words. She will pick out the words she wants to make and pick the stamps out. Then she will color the snowman.<\/p>\n

She picks one word from the words on her snowman and then writes a sentence with her word. If she does not know a word she wants to write I help her with the spelling.<\/p>\n
