We have loved The Tale of Peter Rabbit <\/a>> at our house for ages! I think we have had at least 4 different types of copies of it. There are always copies at different places throughout the house.<\/p>\n

One part my girls always were upset about was that Peter never had any carrots. They always wanted him to have some carrots. I have always laughed about this. So for my youngest, we did a fun activity with a carrot number matching activity. This was a simple number line combined with two different number matching styles. She had tons of fun doing the hands-on activity.<\/p>\n

I made this a simple garden style for our numbers. We had some dirt for our number line and carrots and carrot tops. I used tally marks and dots for our different numbers. This allowed her to do different types of number counting. It also did not take more than a few minutes to set up this simple activity.<\/p>\n
