Word paths or word mazes have been a favorite at our house for a long time. They are a fun way to work on the words, sounds and matching word families. <\/p>\n

You can have so much fun with them. I’ve had word family paths on the site forever. They were one of the first printables that I made. The word family paths were due for an overhaul.<\/p>\n

The CVC Word paths have been a favorite printable on the site for a long time. I love using them for reading and sounding out words.<\/p>\n

Each of the mazes is a great no-prep printable that can be used to review CVC Word Family words with your kids.<\/p>\n

One thing I like about the paths or word mazes is that there are really fun to use. You can see there are several words from each word family you can follow through the maze.<\/p>\n

The second type of page is a tracing path or maze. This allows kids to trace each of the words while they go through the path.<\/p>\n

Ways to use the CVC Word Family Mazes<\/h2>\n

The first type of maze can be used with a dot marker. They are fun to use and great for fine motor. You can say the word as you dot your way through the word paths. We used dot marker<\/a>\"\" are lot on these mazes.<\/p>\n

Another way to reuse these pages is to place an item on the words. You can use just about anything for this. We have used small erasers, buttons and other items. But one of the best you can use the glass gems<\/a>\"\" or clear counters<\/a>\"\". They allow you to see the word under them.<\/p>\n
