The Frog Number Word Counting Easy Reader Book Printable is a great addition to the pond printables<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n The Frog Counting Book Printable is part of my subscriber library. You will find it in the pond section on the subscriber freebie page. <\/p>\n Easy reader books are an easy way to great way to get learning tools into small hands. They can re-read them and call the book their own.<\/p>\n The frog counting book has 7 pages of printables with numbers 0 to 10. You can color the frogs, color the number words, and trace the number word. This is a great printable for preschool and kindergarten. Or you can use it as a review for first grade for number words.<\/p>\n We have included links to some of the products and resources we have used with this activity. If you purchase via the links we may earn a small commission<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n I always get asked how I make the easy reader books. Here are the simple steps that I use to make the books. I use scissors and a stapler.<\/p>\n You start by lining up the pages and cut down the middle of the book. You want to make sure you hold the pages steady while you cut. If you have problems holding the pages steady you can use binder clamps<\/a> to hold each side.<\/p>\n You alternate the pages of the book. The odd pages are on the top and the even pages on the bottom. You have even and then odd until all the pages are sorted.<\/p>\n After you make sure all the pages of the book are lined up you staple the book on the left side. Then your easy reader book is ready to be used.<\/p>\n You can use the book many ways but you will see a few fun ways to use this counting book. <\/p>\n The first time through the book you could just color the number word. You can have them talk about the number word and how to spell it.<\/p>\n The second time through have them trace the number word in the book. You could do the tracing in pencil the first time and second time in marker.<\/p>\n Finally, you color the frog in the book. You can do this as you read each of the times before or as something they do after they finish the book.<\/p>\n If you want some more number word printables, you can check out the Pond Number Find.
