We read the book Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf<\/a> We start out by using a brown dot marker on the paper plate. You could always use brown paint for this. After we finish we set it aside. One reason we use the dot makers is that they dry really fast.<\/p>\n Then we start in on making our leaves. We have three different punches that we are used. We start by coloring the cardstock.<\/p>\n Then using the punch to punch out different types of leaves. It is loads of fun to see how different all the leaves turn out.<\/p>\n The leaves don’t have to be perfect. Because no leaf is the same as another leaf.<\/p>\n Then we punched some glitter cardstock to make some additional leaves for our wreaths. I love that the punch motion of the punches is a great deep pressure activity that I can sneak into our crafts.<\/p>\n Last we glued out leaves onto the dry paper plate. Before we glue I suggest that they place their leaves around the plate to make sure they have all they want.
