I’m always looking for different ways to work on activities. Place value is one math activity we have done over the different years of schooling. We try different activities to see if we can make it stick.<\/p>\n

This time, we have a fun Halloween Themed Place Value clip cards! It is a fun way for kids to work on how the number all fit together. Plus who does not love clip cards?<\/p>\n

This is a great addition to the place value printables<\/a> and Halloween printables<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n

I have three girls, and all are working on different types of activities. I had originally made the set just for my oldest, but the younger two complained. So I caved and made some for all three. I like when they can work on those activities with them all together. Plus they love a challenge as well.<\/p>\n

Each of the cards has the numbers written out in an expanded form, and you get to pick the correct standard form that matches the expanded form.<\/p>\n

Ways to Use the Halloween Place Value Clip Cards<\/h2>\n

You are going to see a few ways that we have used these place value clip cards.<\/p>\n

How to set up the Place Value Clip Cards<\/h3>\n

I always set the cards up just before they do them. I love to put the clothespins<\/a>\"\" in bin and clip cards on the side. I laminated<\/a> the cards so they would hold up over a longer period of time. That allows me to re-use the cards as my younger girls get older. I do try and make sure I have enough clothespins<\/a>\"\" to match the cards.<\/p>\n

Use Other Items to Clip the Cards<\/h3>\n

You can also mix it up and use other items on the cards like paper clips<\/a>. You can also let your kids be creative as well. My girls have also like glass gems or clear counters<\/a>. Plus you can always find Halloween erasers to use! There is really no limit to what you can use on them.<\/p>\n
