\n<\/div>\nThe Dinosaur Counting Mat Printables are a great addition to the dinosaur printables<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n Counting mats are hands-on activities for practicing counting. They work on the skill of one-to-one correspondence. And helps with number recognition.<\/p>\n It is fun having counting mats that kids can use. They love changing up their activities and the way we use them. We are using some fun dinosaur counters<\/a> Each of the dinosaur counting mats has a counting area, ten frame box, the number word, and number digit that you can use for playdough if you want. <\/p>\n The dinosaur counting mats are great for kids in prek (ages 4 to 5) and kindergarten (ages 5 to 6).<\/p>\n We have included links to some of the products and resources we have used with this activity. Here is a look at how I set the mats up to be used. We are using dinosaur counters<\/a>, green glass gems<\/a>< and playdough<\/a>. I put them in sheet protectors<\/a> in a binder and we pull out the number we are working on.<\/p>\n You can also check out this different dinosaur counting mats free printable<\/a>.<\/p>\n You can see below how we filled out the dinosaur mat. You can see the dinosaurs on the counting area, the ten frame filled out with the glass gems and we used playdough for the number.<\/p>\n This can be done for each of the playdough mats.<\/p>\n If you don’t want to do the playoudgh mat you don’t have to. You can see how we just use the dinosaurs and the glass gems.
