Bookmarks have been really huge at our house. We just love using them. I’ve made some really fun bookmarks over the years. Today is another fun one similar to the dinosaur information bookmarks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A fun new information bookmarks about the planets. This is a fun way to involve kids in learning about the planets around us while reading books.<\/p>\n

The Planet Information Bookmarks are a great addition to the space printables<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n

Space is such fun subject to explore. We have loved exploring all the parts. The planets have to be a favorite for us. These bookmarks match up with the Planet Learning Pack<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Each bookmark has a different part of the solar system: the sun, the 8 planets, and Pluto. Yes, I included the dwarf planet because it is a favorite of my girls.<\/p>\n

The bookmark has information to fill out or already filled out. They have on them name, order from the sun, size across, and type.<\/p>\n

There are two different bookmarks to pick from. The first set has the information filled out and the second set is for older kids to fill out.<\/p>\n

The first set of books is great to be used with almost any space book. We used Every Planet Has a Place<\/a>\"\" and There’s No Place Like Space: All About Our Solar System <\/a>\"\" for my youngest with her bookmarks already filled out. I put them on a ring 1 inch ring<\/a>\"\" to make them easier to flip through.<\/p>\n

The second set I also put on a 1 inch ring<\/a>\"\" for my girls. It makes it easier to keep track of. My girls love flipping through the rings. We used How Many Planets Circle the Sun?: And Other Questions about Our Solar System (Good Question!)<\/a>\"\" and The Planets: Third Edition<\/a>\"\" for my older girls to give their information.<\/p>\n

We also did look up planet information on Wikipedia<\/a> and NASAs Planets<\/a> information. It is fun to see them look up the information online on their own. We had to be creative because Pluto is not included in a lot of books now.<\/p>\n

You can also check out the relative sizes of the planets<\/a>. It would be a fun activity with these planet bookmarks.<\/p>\n
