My girls have wanted to try the perler fused beads<\/a>\"\" for a long time. They have always looked like such fun to do!<\/p>\n

We got some for Christmas and they asked to make some planets for our space themed activities. I thought why not. Kids can be very creative when they have ideas. I also like to say yes to their craft and ideas when I can. If you can say yes, do it! We all have so much fun doing their ideas. Plus it makes them think about how they would make the craft happen.<\/p>\n

Plus this was a great way to work on fine motor and calm down after school.<\/p>\n

As with a lot of our activities, we always pick a book to go with it. My girls have loved the Gail Gibbons books. So we read The Planets by Gail Gibbons<\/a>\"\". Since two older girls are great at reading we all took turns reading parts of the book.<\/p>\n

While reading, they each picked out their favorite planet or part of space. They picked out the moon, Jupiter, and Pluto.<\/p>\n
