We have several favorite books that we read during St. Patricks Day. One of our favorite books is There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Clover!<\/a> The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is a great theme. To go with the gold theme I made the sensory bin with the idea of the water beads hiding the gold.<\/p>\n What you need for this activity:<\/p>\n I shook the water bead sensory bin a bit and the gold all settled tot he bottom on the bin. This was fun for me to do and then my girls started looking for the gold at the bottom.<\/p>\n As they brought the cold out of the bin, they put it in one of our paint trays. This made it fun to empty the bin of all the gold.<\/p>\n The fun part about this bin is that you can do it again and again. That is what my girls did. They each took turns and spent hours having loads of fun. This was easy to set up and they loved hiding the gold as much as finding the gold.<\/p>\n One fun thing we noticed about the bin was that out of the two colors the clear water beads stacked up one the side of the walls of the bin.
