Buy your copy of the Romping & Roaring Second Grade Sight Words<\/a><\/p>\n <\/strong><\/div>\n You are going to find ten pages of activities for the following words from the Dolch Second Grade Sight Word List: always, around, because, been, before, best, both, buy, call, cold, does, don’t, fast, first, five, found, gave, goes, green, its, made, many, off, of, pull, read, right, sing, sit. sleep. tell, their, these, those, upon, us, use, wash, which, why, wish, work, would, write, your.<\/p>\n There are 10 pages for each word. There are six pages that come out with the free sets once a month and four additional pages only in the selling set. <\/p>\n The ten pages are: Sight Word Playdough Mat (or decorate the word), Dot the Sight Word, Sight Word Trace – Color – Write, Sight Word Color by Letter, Find Sight Word in the Sentences, and Trace the Sight Word in the Sentences, (selling set only) Sight Word Word Search, Review Page, Read – Trace – Write a Sentence, Sight Word Paths.<\/p>\n Once a month four words packs will be coming out. They will be going in order on the Dolch Second Grade Sight Word list. The first four words are: always, around, because, & been. They will have only 6 of the pages from the full set.<\/p>\n You can see examples of all the pages below.<\/p>\n I love that playdough mats are so flexible in how you use them. You can use playdough or you could just color the words on the page. If you are going to use the page a lot I recommend laminating it. I have put mine in sheet protectors to make it easier to store and pull out when needed.<\/p>\n Things you can use with this page:<\/p>\n The dot maker words are so much fun to use. We are always changing up how to use them. But most often we used dot markers<\/a> Things you can use with this page:<\/p>\n This is a fun way to change up working on spelling and writing of the word. We put the three options on paper in a foam dice<\/a> I love using coloring and letters. This is an easy way to work on spelling and letters at the same time. We love switching up how we use the page. We use crayons, markers and most often watercolors.<\/p>\n Things you can use with this page:<\/p>\n Each of the pages has simple and easy to read sentences with the sight word for them to find and circle. Plus they can underline other words they might know. We often use crayons for circling.<\/p>\n Things you can use with this page:<\/p>\n Like to find in a sentence that trace the sight word in a sentence has easy to read sentences with the word to trace. Plus they are different sentences from the finding. I like to have different activities to use. We often use Appleletters<\/a> to match the letters in the word we are tracing.<\/p>\n Things you can use with this page:<\/p>\n Of all the page I’ve made this is my favorite one! It is because you have to find the sight word six times in the mix of letters. If that is all they can do great. BUT the rest of the letters in the search are all words from the Dolch Second Grade Sight Word List. Yup that means you can search and find other words as well as the 6 you need to find. It is a great way to challenge kids.<\/p>\n Things you can use with this page:<\/p>\n This is a good end of learning review page or maybe a great way to introduce the word as well. You have read, tracing, coloring and find the correct spelling and color. We mix up using different coloring items with the page to make it more fun.<\/p>\n Things you can use with this page:<\/p>\n This page is another great review page. Plus can be made into a nice literacy station as well. Put it in a sheet protector and have them say the work, trace with dry erase markers, build the word with letter tiles and then write a sentence with the markers. The hands-on activities of building the words with play dough and with dots are great ways to introduce the words to my lower groups of kids.
