Earth Day has so many fun themes that you can work with. I love that so many themes are flexible in how we use them. There are some math concepts that people have been asking for. I know one that we have been working on is greater than & less than. It is one that you can use different levels of learning.<\/p>\n

There Earth Day themed cards for comparing numbers is a great way to work on these cards. Plus they are clip cards and a lot of kids just love this style of learning.<\/p>\n

The cards are meant to be really easy to use. I have always liked clip cards for counting and beginning sounds. It has been fun to create new types of cards for math. These cards work great with the Earth Day Learning Pack<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The cards have two bins with numbers on them. They have choices for < = > on each cards. This was to make it easy for them to see everything. If they are having problems with the numbers you can pull out the help desk for second grade<\/a> and have them find the numbers on the 100 chart.<\/p>\n

There are four cards per page. This makes it easy to print and cut up. I laminated<\/a>\"\" our cards and cut them out. I lay out the cards with something to use for the clipping part. I often ask what they wanted to use for the clipping part. This time we use clothes pins<\/a>. You can see below how I set up the cards.<\/p>\n
