<\/div>\nWhat is Ten Frame Counting?<\/h2>\n
Ten frame counting is a math learning tool. It uses a card or grid with 10 boxes arranged in two rows of five. Students place small items or dots inside the boxes to count, show numbers, and see how numbers relate to 5 and 10.<\/p>\n
These could be blank ten frame boxes or filled out ten frame boxes for one-to-one correspondence. <\/p>\n
Turkey Ten Frame Card Printables<\/h2>\n
Ten Frames are an excellent way to work on counting and math at the same time. They are used a lot at the start of Preschool, Kindergarten and First Grade. By using the ten frames, kids have a different way of learning counting.<\/p>\n
There are two types of ten frame cards. It allows for different levels of learning. You can use them to start to learn or review their numbers.<\/p>\n
You have a number and matching turkeys filled in on the ten frame. It is great for the beginner to use.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n<\/div>\nYou have a number on the turkey and a blank ten frame. It is good for the older kindergarten and review for first grade.<\/p>\n

How We Used The Turkey Ten Frame Printables<\/h2>\n
One way we use the ten frame cards that are fill in is to have my girls cover the items to match the card. You can have them count while they do it. We use clear glass gems<\/a> or clear counting chips<\/a> for this. It allows they to still see the number they covered.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n<\/div>\nOn the blank ten frame, we use the unifix cubes<\/a> to fill in the correct number. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n<\/div>\nOne way I have used the blank ten games where I printed the pages as they are and used a dot marker<\/a> on them.<\/p>\n
You can also use either ten frames for basic math. We used the blank or filled in cards. On the blank cards, I have them do two sets of unifix cubes<\/a>> colors to match up to the number.<\/p>\n
