Math is something you are always working on. There are skills to start and build with. I know that counting with ten frames leads to addition with ten frames.<\/p>\n

Today I have some simple and fun free dinosaur themed ten frame addition printables. These work great on their own or as a center!<\/p>\n

These cards are a progress from using ten frame counting mats<\/a>. It is taking something kids have used already and showing them how it works for math.<\/p>\n

There are two types of cards. One of the cards has just the equations without the ten frame filled in. The second one has part of the equation filled in on the ten frame.<\/p>\n

The cards set that has part of the number filled in has the dinosaurs matching the first on the equation. We used unifix cubes<\/a>\"\" to fill in the second part.<\/p>\n

If you have the card laminated kids can write the answer on the cards with dry erase markers<\/a>\"\".<\/p>\n

On the second set of cards, you can use many different things to make the equations. One way that we did was to use the unifix cubes<\/a>\"\" to fill out the equation.<\/p>\n

You could also use dinosaur counters<\/a>\"\" to match up to the cards. We used two of the colors to match up.<\/p>\n

I know that not everyone likes to use the cards and you might have a class you want to use them with. Well, I have a recording sheet for the 12 cards! This makes it easy to use a math center activity.<\/p>\n
